What is PHYND?

PHYND is a free, ad-supported cloud gaming app that lets anyone play games instantly on their smart TV. With no consoles, no downloads, and no subscriptions, PHYND makes gaming simple and accessible – just play!

What TVs is PHYND available on?

The PHYND app is currently available on supported Samsung Smart TVs (2022 models and newer, excluding Samsung 8K models), LG Smart TVs (2021 models and newer) and these compatible Amazon Fire TV devices:  Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st and 2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen),  Amazon Ember 2-Series, Amazon Ember 4-Series, Amazon Ember QLED Series and Amazon Ember Mini-LED Series.

We're continuing to expand support to additional TV brands and models, so availability will continue to grow. Please check back for future updates and supported devices.

Keep Your TV Software Up to Date

Running the latest software helps ensure PHYND installs correctly and performs as expected.

Samsung smart TVs:

1. Press the Home button
2. Navigate to Settings
3. Select Support
4. Choose Software Update
5. Select Update Now to check for and install available updates

LG smart TVs:

1. Press the Settings button on your remote
2. Select All Settings
3. Go to Support
4. Select Software Update
5. Choose Check for Update.

If an update is available, allow your TV to complete the installation and restart if prompted. We also recommend enabling automatic software updates whenever available.

Amazon Fire TV devices:

1. From the Fire TV Home screen, go to Settings
2. Select My Fire TV (labeled Device & Software on some models)
3. Select About
4. Choose Check for Updates
5. Select Install Update if a new version is available

How do I get the app on my TV?

Samsung smart TVs:

Press the Home button, navigate to Apps, and search for “PHYND.” Select Install. You must be signed into your Samsung account to download apps.PHYND is also available through Samsung Gaming Hub.

LG smart TVs:

From the LG Home screen, use Search to search for “PHYND.” PHYND will appear under Apps in the search results. Select PHYND and follow the prompts to install the app.

Amazon Fire TV devices:

From the Fire TV Home screen, select Find, then search for "PHYND." Select PHYND from the results and choose Get to download the app. You must be signed into your Amazon account to download apps.

How do I sign-up and create an account?

To create an account on PHYND, you can select "Create your free account" from the banner at the top of the Guest screen or you can navigate to the Guest icon in the upper-left corner, open the dropdown menu, and select Sign In.

Once you get to the sign-in screen, choose Sign Up and follow the on-screen prompts to create your account.

1.. Scan the QR code or visit the website shown.

2.  The code will fill in automatically If it doesn't, enter the code shown on your TV,

• Select “Sign Up.”

3.. Choose how you want to sign up:

• Email: Enter your email address.

• Mobile: Switch to mobile and enter your phone number.

4. Enter the verification code sent to you.

5. Enter your first name and last name, then tap Continue.

6. Enter your birthdate (you must be 16 or older), then tap Continue.

7. Create a username:

• 3–20 characters

• Letters and numbers only

• Select Continue when done

8. Choose your avatar color.

9. Select Complete Account Setup.

• You’ll be automatically logged into the TV app.
  

Can I play without creating an account? Are there any limitations?

Yes, you can play as a guest.

To play as a guest:

• Open the app and accept the Terms of Service.

• Scan the QR code to read them (optional).

• Select “Accept & Continue.”

On the next screen, select “Play as Guest” using your remote or gamepad.  Your game progress will not be saved when playing as a guest. If you close the app or switch games, your progress will be lost. Creating a free account ensures your progress is saved.

Is PHYND really free? 

Yes. PHYND is completely free. There are no subscriptions, no trial periods, and no hidden fees.PHYND is supported by advertising. You will see a short ad before launching a game, but ads never interrupt gameplay.

Which controllers are supported? 

PHYND supports most standard Bluetooth game controllers including Xbox Wireless Controller and PlayStation DualSense and DualShock 4.

Most third-party Bluetooth controllers that are compatible with Android or Samsung devices.

PHYND also supports the Samsung Virtual Gamepad and LG Mobile Gamepad on compatible mobile devices. The supporting mobile apps are available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Do I need a controller to play?

A Bluetooth controller is recommended for the best gameplay experience, but isn't required for every game.Depending on the title, you can play with a Bluetooth controller, TV remote, or virtual gamepad. Supported control methods vary by game.

Can I use my TV remote to play?

Yes. Your TV remote can be used to browse PHYND, search for games, watch trailers, and navigate the app.Some games also support TV remote gameplay. Other games require a Bluetooth controller or virtual gamepad. Supported input methods vary by title.

How do I connect my controller?

Samsung smart TVs:

1. Press the Home button on your Samsung TV remote, then navigate to the Gaming Hub icon.

2. Within Gaming Hub, scroll to Controllers or go to Settings > Connection > Bluetooth Device List.

• Xbox Controller: Turn it on, then press and hold the pairing button on top until the Xbox button flashes rapidly.
• PS5 DualSense / PS4 DualShock 4: With the controller off, hold the PS button and Share/Create button simultaneously until the light bar flashes.

LG smart TVs:

1. Press the Settings button on your remote.
2. Go to All Settings.
3. Navigate to General > External Devices > Bluetooth Settings.
4. Put your controller into pairing mode.
5. Select your controller when it appears.
6. Choose Connect.

Amazon Fire TV devices:

1. From the Fire TV Home screen, go to Settings.
2. Select Controllers & Bluetooth Devices, then Other Bluetooth Devices.
3. Select Add Bluetooth Devices.
4. Put your controller into pairing mode:
   Xbox Controller: Turn it on, then press and hold the pairing button on top until the Xbox button flashes rapidly.
   PS5 DualSense / PS4 DualShock 4: With the controller off, hold the PS button and Share/Create button simultaneously until the light bar flashes.
5.  Select your controller from the list on your TV screen to pair and connect.

How do I browse games?

To browse games, start from the PHYND home screen where you can scroll through top games, featured tiles, and different categories, or explore the full game library. Use your gamepad or TV remote to navigate and find something that catches your interest.

How do I search for a game?

Select the search icon from the top-right navigation and use the on-screen keyboard to type the game name. Results will appear as you type.

How do I start playing a game?

1. Select the game you want to play.

2. You’ll be taken to its game page.

3. Hit the Play button.

4. You will see ads while the game loads.

5. After that, you’ll land on the game menu.

6. Jump in and start playing!

Do I need to download games?

No. PHYND streams games directly from the cloud, so individual games do not need to be downloaded or installed. Just choose a game and start playing.

Can I play multiplayer with friends?

Yes. Some PHYND games support local multiplayer, so friends and family can play together on the same TV.The number of players depends on the game, with supported titles allowing up to five players on one screen. Check each game for its supported player count.

Can I use the same account on multiple TVs?

Yes. Your PHYND account is tied to your login, not your TV. Sign in on any supported Samsung or LG Smart TV and your account, progress, and preferences will be there.

Why was I signed out automatically?

For security, PHYND may sign you out after an extended period of inactivity. Simply sign back in to resume where you left off.

How do I log out?

Use the left navigation menu to scroll to your avatar and select it.  A second menu with appear – choose “Log Out.” This will take you back to the sign up and log in screen.

How do I delete my account?

Account management is coming soon. You will be able to scan a QR code to manage every aspect of your account, including deletion.

App is not working as expected – what should I do?

Check Your Internet Connection

1. Ensure your TV is connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
2. Open your TV’s network settings and confirm that it is connected to the internet.
3. Test another app to confirm connectivity.
4. If needed, restart your router and TV.

Force Close and Restart PHYND

1. Close the PHYND app.
2. Return to your TV’s Home screen.
3. Relaunch PHYND.

Update Your TV Software

Samsung smart TVs:

1. Press the Home button on your remote.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select Support.
4. Choose Software Update.
5. Select Update Now.

LG smart TVs:

1. Press the Settings button on your remote.
2. Select All Settings.
3. Go to Support.
4. Select Software Update.
5. Choose Check for Updates.
